3 recalls across 7 model years
The Hyundai Equus has 3 recalls covering 2009–2015 model years, the most serious affecting 2014–2015 vehicles where a fault in the anti-lock brake control module can cause an engine compartment fire while the vehicle is parked or moving.
The 2011–2013 model years have a wiper motor cover seal that can degrade over time, letting moisture reach the motor's circuit board and cause corrosion. If the circuit board corrodes enough to stop the wipers from working, the driver loses visibility in rain or snow. On 2011 models, a brake light switch circuit failure can prevent the stop lamps from illuminating when the driver presses the brake pedal, leaving following drivers without warning that the vehicle is slowing or stopping.
