3 recalls across 1 model year
The Indian Motorcycle FTR has 3 recalls, all affecting the 2019 model year, with the most serious being a coolant junction that can fail while riding, leaking hot coolant onto the rear tire and reducing traction enough to cause a loss of control.
The 2019 model year also has an electrical issue where a faulty 10-amp circuit breaker can cut power intermittently to the engine or lights, stalling the motorcycle or leaving the rider without headlights or running lights. A separate software defect can cause the brake light to flash without the brakes being applied, potentially confusing other drivers about the rider's intentions.
