Infiniti Jx35 Recalls

The INFINITI JX35 has 7 recalls, all affecting the 2013 model year, with the most serious being a hood latch defect where an incorrectly installed release cable can prevent the secondary latch from fully engaging, allowing the hood to fly open while driving and blocking the driver's view.

The 2013 model year also has two brake and safety system recalls. The anti-lock brake calibration can be set incorrectly, causing longer stopping distances during light braking on rough roads. There is also a passenger seat occupant classification sensor issue: if a vehicle received an incorrect replacement sensor control unit during a prior repair, the system may fail to detect an adult in the front passenger seat and deactivate the passenger airbag, leaving that occupant without frontal airbag protection in a crash.

On the fuel system side, a misrouted fuel transfer tube inside the tank can prevent the float from dropping as fuel is consumed, causing the gauge to read higher than the actual level. The vehicle can run out of fuel without warning, stalling unexpectedly.
