The INFINITI JX35 has 4 recalls, all affecting the 2013 model year, with the most serious being an incorrectly installed hood release cable that can prevent the secondary latch from fully engaging, allowing the hood to fly open while driving and blocking the driver's view. On the braking side, 2013 models may have incorrect anti-lock brake calibration that extends stopping distances during light braking on rough roads, raising the risk of a collision. There is also a fuel gauge issue on 2013 vehicles built between February and June 2012, where a misrouted fuel transfer tube inside the tank can prevent the fuel level float from dropping as fuel is used, causing the gauge to read higher than the actual level and leaving the driver unaware the tank is nearly empty until the engine stalls.
