The Infiniti Q60 has 3 recalls covering the 2020 and 2021 model years, with the most serious being a software error in the engine control module on 2021 models that can cause the engine to lose power or stall unexpectedly, raising the risk of a crash. The check engine light may come on as a warning before a stall occurs. On 2020 models, two separate rear seatbelt issues affect occupant protection in a crash: some vehicles have rear belts assembled incorrectly so they may not lock up during a collision, and on models equipped with a dual-mode locking mechanism in the rear belt assembly, the webbing sensor can fail to lock as intended during a multi-impact crash, leaving rear occupants less restrained than expected.
