Infiniti Q60 Recalls

The INFINITI Q60 has 7 recalls covering the 2017 through 2021 model years, with the most serious being an engine control module programming error on 2021 models that can cut engine power or stall the engine without warning, raising the risk of a crash.

The 2021 model year carries two additional engine-related issues. A separate software error in the engine control module can misread rapid acceleration and incorrectly cut fuel to the engine, again causing a stall. The check engine light may come on before either stall occurs, but that is not guaranteed. The 2021 model year also has a software error that can deactivate the infotainment screen, preventing the rearview camera image from displaying when backing up.

On 2020 models, two rear seatbelt recalls address the same underlying problem: the rear belts can fail to lock properly in a crash, leaving rear occupants without adequate restraint. One filing specifically involves a dual-mode locking mechanism that may not engage after an initial impact, leaving rear occupants exposed in a multi-impact collision.

The 2018 and 2019 model years have a rearview camera that can fail to display an image, reducing the driver's view when reversing. Going back to the 2017 model year, vehicles equipped with the 2.0L engine have a fuel pump control module software error that can allow the main fuel tank to run too low to supply the engine, causing a stall while driving.
