Isuzu Fvr Recalls

The Isuzu FVR has 8 recalls spanning 2006 through 2026, with the most serious being a fuel heater that can overheat and melt its casing on 2022-2026 models, allowing diesel fuel to leak into an electrical connector and raising the risk of fire.

The 2022-2024 models equipped with the Mobileye Collision Warning System have a separate fire concern: the camera cable can be routed incorrectly, damaging the wiring and overloading the electrical circuit to the point of overheating. On those same Mobileye-equipped vehicles, damaged wiring can also disable turn signals and hazard lights and cause the collision warning display to go dark. The 2022 model year has an additional fuel system issue where an oversized quick connector on the fuel suction hose can seal poorly, leaking diesel fuel and allowing air into the fuel line, which can stall the engine while driving. Also on 2022 models, a software calibration error in the engine control module disables engine braking, which can extend stopping distances beyond what a driver expects.

The 2022-2026 model years share a suspension concern where the axle stabilizer bracket bolts can crack and break, letting the bracket detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard for surrounding traffic.

Going back to the earliest production covered here, the 2006 model year has an air brake application valve configured incorrectly, which restricts airflow through the brake system and increases stopping distance during an emergency stop.
