4 recalls across 1 model year
The Johnny Pag Spyder 300 has 4 recalls, all affecting the 2007 model year, with the most serious involving a shift linkage that can break and prevent the rider from changing gears, raising the risk of a crash in traffic.
All four recalls are limited to 2007 production. On the lighting side, two separate issues exist: the headlamp system does not meet Canadian lighting standards because turning the headlamp switch off leaves only a small interior bulb illuminated rather than the full headlight, reducing visibility to and from the motorcycle. The taillight assembly on these bikes also lacks the required SAE certification markings, and a tail lamp that does not meet brightness requirements can leave following drivers unaware of braking or reduce the motorcycle's visibility at night. There is also a compliance label issue where the tire and rim placard incorrectly lists a gross axle weight rating of 195 kg instead of the correct 180 kg, which means a rider following the label could unknowingly overload the motorcycle and affect its handling.
