The 2007 Johnny Pag Spyder 300 has 4 recalls, the most serious involving a shift linkage that can break and leave the rider unable to change gears, raising the risk of a crash depending on traffic and road conditions.
Two recalls relate to lighting. The headlamp system can leave only a small interior bulb lit when the headlamp switch is turned off while the ignition remains on, meaning the motorcycle may not be as visible to other road users as required. The taillight assembly on certain bikes has not been tested to the required standard, and a dimmer-than-required brake and tail lamp can make it harder for following drivers to see the motorcycle or recognize when the rider is braking. There is also a label recall: the compliance sticker incorrectly lists a gross axle weight rating of 195 kg instead of the correct 180 kg, and loading the motorcycle based on that figure could affect its handling.
