3 recalls across 1 model year
The Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS has 3 recalls, all affecting the 2008 model year, with the most serious being a rear carrier platform that can crack and detach if a passenger leans against Kawasaki Genuine Accessory luggage mounted on it, sending the carrier and luggage onto the road and creating a crash hazard.
The second recall involves road debris, particularly small stones, becoming lodged between the brake pedal and its cover on 2008 models. When this happens, the rear brake drags and overheats, reducing stopping ability. There is also a saddlebag latch issue on 2008 models where the pivot pin securing each saddlebag can break if the bike tips over while parked or if a bag is mounted incorrectly, allowing the saddlebag to separate from the motorcycle.
