2008 Kawasaki Concours 14 Abs

The 2008 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the rear carrier platform and brakes: the carrier can break and detach when a passenger leans against luggage mounted on it, and road debris trapped near the brake pedal can cause the rear brake to drag and overheat.

The brake issue is worth noting separately because on some model years the debris can affect both the front and rear brakes simultaneously, significantly reducing stopping power. There is also a luggage concern: the pivot pins securing the saddlebags to the bike can break if the motorcycle tips over while parked or if a saddlebag is not properly attached, potentially leaving a saddlebag loose or separated from the bike.
