KAWASAKI VULCAN 1700 VOYAGER Recalls

The Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager has 2 recalls covering 2009–2015 model years, with the most serious affecting 2009 models where ignition switch wiring can chafe against the bottom of the fuel tank, cause an electrical short, and stall the engine without warning. The broader recall extends this same wiring chafe concern across all 2009–2015 model years. In both cases, the ignition wire contacts the fuel tank, eventually wearing through its insulation, shorting out, and cutting engine power unexpectedly while riding.
