4 recalls across 2 model years
The KTM 790 Adventure has 4 recalls covering the 2019-2020 model years, with the most serious being a rear brake hose that can overheat and fail, leaving the rider dependent on the front brake alone and significantly increasing stopping distances.
The front brake has its own issue across both model years as well: the return spring inside the front brake master cylinder can be too weak to pull the brake piston fully back after the lever is released. When this happens, the lever travels a long distance before the brakes engage, reducing braking effectiveness and extending stopping distances. The rear brake hose overheating concern and the front master cylinder spring weakness both appear across 2019-2020 production, while the front master cylinder issue on 2019-only models reflects the same underlying defect.
