LEXUS ES 350 Recalls

The Lexus ES 350 has 3 recalls covering the 2013-2020 model years, with the most serious affecting 2017 models where a loose lock nut on the right tie rod can allow the vehicle to wander and, if the tie rod fully separates from the steering gear, result in complete loss of steering control. On 2020 models, the passenger seat sensor that determines whether a front-seat occupant is an adult can short circuit and cause the system to disable the front passenger airbag even when a passenger is seated, leaving that occupant without airbag protection in a crash. The 2013 model year has a compliance recall for rear reflex reflectors that may not reflect enough light to meet Canadian regulations, a condition the regulator notes does not affect vehicle safety.
