LEXUS HS 250 Recalls

The Lexus HS 250h has 3 recalls, all affecting the 2010 model year, with the most serious being a rear suspension tie rod that can rust, lose thread integrity, and fail, causing a loss of vehicle control. The rear tie rod issue stems from alignment adjustment nuts that can be improperly tightened during service, allowing the suspension arm to develop unwanted movement and corrode until the threads strip and the rod fails entirely. There is also an electrical recall specific to 2010 models where a component inside the hybrid transaxle assembly can short circuit, reducing or completely cutting drive power while the vehicle is in motion.
