The Lexus IS 350C has 3 recalls covering 2006-2013 model years, with the most serious being a passenger-side airbag inflator defect on 2009-2013 vehicles registered in high-humidity states and territories where the inflator can rupture and send metal fragments into the cabin, causing serious injury or death. The same inflator rupture risk applies to 2010-2011 model years under a separate filing that covers vehicles originally sold or registered in similar warm, humid climates. Both of these are Takata-related airbag issues, and prior repair attempts may not have fully resolved the problem across all affected vehicles, which is why multiple filings exist for overlapping years. The third recall covers 2010-2012 IS 350C vehicles and involves the windshield wiper system, which can fail to operate and leave the driver without visibility clearing in rain, raising the risk of a crash.
