The 2010 Lexus IS 350C has 6 recalls, the most serious being a passenger-side airbag inflator that can rupture and send metal fragments into the cabin, posing a risk of serious injury or death.
This airbag defect affects vehicles registered in high-humidity states and territories, and prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue across all affected vehicles, which is why multiple recall campaigns exist for the same problem. On the fuel system side, the fuel pulsation dampers on IS350C models equipped with the 3.5L V6 engine can develop cracks in their internal diaphragms over time, allowing fuel to leak and raising the risk of a fire if that fuel contacts an ignition source. There is also a wiper concern: the wiper motor or linkage can fail, leaving the driver without a working windshield wiper in rain or other low-visibility conditions.
