6 recalls across 5 model years
The Lexus LX has 6 recalls covering 2022 through 2026 model years, with the most serious being a transmission defect on 2025-2026 models where a solenoid failure can cut communication between the transmission and engine computers, causing transmission damage that can result in loss of drive power or a transmission fluid leak that can start a fire.
The 2022-2024 model years carry two separate powertrain concerns. On those vehicles, the transmission can allow unexpected movement when the gear selector is in neutral and the brakes are not applied. Separately, 2022-2024 models equipped with the V35A engine can develop main bearing failure from manufacturing debris left inside the engine, which can cause the engine to stall and cut drive power. The 2022-2024 model years also have a front passenger seat frame clearance issue where the passenger seat sensor can misread the occupant, causing the airbag to deploy incorrectly or fail to deploy properly in a crash.
The 2025 model year has an additional issue where a software error in the Panoramic View Monitor system can cause the rearview camera to freeze or go blank when the vehicle is in reverse, reducing the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle.
