3 recalls across 2 model years
The Lexus LX 570 has 3 recalls covering the 2008 and 2011 model years, with the most serious being a floor mat interference issue on 2011 models where an unsecured or stacked all-weather mat can slide forward and jam the accelerator pedal in the wide-open position.
The two remaining recalls affect 2008 models only. The passenger seat sensor wiring that determines whether the front passenger is an adult can fatigue and break over time, causing the front passenger airbag, knee airbag, and seat-mounted side airbag to all deactivate, leaving that occupant without full protection in a crash. There is also a concern on 2008 vehicles where incorrectly specified frontal airbags may have been installed for either the driver or front passenger during assembly, meaning those airbags may not perform as intended in a frontal collision.
