The 2008 model year has two restraint-related recalls. The wiring in the front passenger seat sensor system can fatigue and break over time, causing the front passenger frontal airbag, knee airbag, and seat-mounted side airbag to deactivate, leaving that occupant with reduced protection in a crash. Separately, some 2008 vehicles were assembled with front airbags built to an incorrect specification, meaning both the driver and passenger frontal airbags may not perform as designed in a frontal collision.
