The 2008 Lexus LX 570 has two recalls, both involving airbag reliability: one affecting the driver and front passenger frontal airbags, and the other affecting three separate airbags that can go offline due to a wiring fault. In the first recall, incorrect airbags may have been installed at the factory, meaning the frontal airbags may not perform as intended in a crash. In the second, the wiring for the front passenger seat's occupant classification sensor can fatigue and break over time, causing the front passenger airbag, knee airbag, and seat-mounted side airbag to all deactivate, leaving the front passenger with significantly reduced protection in a collision.
