Lexus Lx470 Recalls

The Lexus LX470 has 3 recalls covering 2003-2007 model years, with the most serious being a steering shaft defect on all 2003-2007 vehicles where a snap ring can disengage after a hard impact to the front wheels, causing loss of steering control.

The 2003-2006 model years have a side curtain airbag that can deploy without warning, raising the risk of injury to occupants. The 2006 model year alone has a separate airbag concern: the driver or front passenger airbag inflator may be the wrong unit for the vehicle, meaning it can fail to deploy correctly in a crash.
