The 2024 Lincoln Corsair has 7 recalls, the most serious being a high-voltage battery defect in plug-in hybrid models where an internal short circuit can cause sudden loss of drive power or a fire.
Beyond the battery issue, certain Corsairs equipped with a 1.5L or 2.0L engine and an engine block heater can overheat while the vehicle is parked and plugged in, raising the risk of a fire. On the exterior, water can leak into the rear combination lights and knock out the brake lights, turn signals, reverse lights, or taillights, making the vehicle harder for other drivers to read. A separate software issue can cause the rearview camera image to freeze or go missing when backing up, cutting off the driver's view behind the vehicle. There is also a compliance issue: some vehicles may be missing the airbag warning label from the dashboard, which is required to inform occupants of proper restraint use.
