The 2015 Mazda6 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the electrical system: a fault in the powertrain control module can cause the car to stop charging its battery, leading to poor acceleration, loss of power steering assist, and inoperative windshield wipers. This recall only affects vehicles with the 2.5L engine and regenerative engine braking. The parking brake on certain vehicles can develop corrosion inside the brake caliper when water gets in, causing the actuator shaft to bind and leaving the parking brake unable to fully engage or release. There is also a tire pressure monitoring concern: if all four tires lose pressure gradually at the same time, the warning system may not alert the driver, raising the risk of a sudden tire failure while driving.
