Two electrical recalls share the same severity level as the steering issue. On 2023-2024 models, the battery management software can cause a sudden loss of drive power while the vehicle is in motion. A separate concern affects 2023 models only: vehicles that received a prior repair under an earlier recall may have had an incorrect fuse box installed, which can cut drive power or disable critical systems including the airbags and instrument cluster. On 2023-2024 models, the pedestrian alert system can emit an incorrect warning tone while reversing, reducing the chance that pedestrians nearby will recognize the sound as a reversing vehicle.
