The Mercedes-Benz Maybach GLS600 has 5 recalls, all affecting the 2021 model year, with the most serious being a loose ground cable bolt under the front passenger seat that can cause the 48-volt electrical cable to overheat and start a fire.

A second fire-related issue on the same 2021 vehicles involves air conditioning drain hoses that were incorrectly installed, sending water into the passenger footwells where it can corrode or short-circuit electrical components and also create fire conditions. On the structural side, a manufacturing error can cause the rear door window trim bars to detach while driving and become a road hazard for other vehicles. The 2021 model year also has a multimedia software issue where the backup camera display can remain black or restart after the vehicle is turned on, leaving the driver without a rear view when reversing. Rounding out the recalls, interior switch illumination can fail on 2021 vehicles, making controls harder to locate while driving.
