4 recalls across 2 model years
The MINI Countryman S ALL4 has 4 recalls covering the 2025-2026 model years, with the most serious affecting 2025 models where a fault in the electronic stability control module can cause loss of brake power assist, reduced rear braking, and loss of anti-lock and stability control, all of which extend stopping distances and reduce the driver's ability to maintain control.
The 2025 model year also has a structural concern where bolts connecting the front body structure to the chassis may not have been properly tightened, meaning the front structure may not absorb crash energy as designed and occupants face a higher risk of injury in a collision. On the restraint side, both the 2025 and 2026 model years have front seat belt retractors with a torsion bar that can be damaged, preventing the belt from holding an occupant in a crash. The 2026 model year has a separate rear seat belt issue where a housing pin in the left or right rear retractor can be damaged, causing that retractor to fail to lock the belt during a crash.
