The 2026 MINI Countryman S ALL4 has two recalls, both involving seat belt retractors that may fail to lock properly in a crash, raising the risk of injury to front and rear occupants.
Both the front and rear seat belt retractors are affected. In the front, a damaged torsion bar inside each retractor may prevent the belt from holding the occupant during a collision. In the rear, a damaged housing pin in the left and/or right retractor can cause the same failure. Together, these two issues mean that belts across all seating positions may not perform as intended when they are needed most.
