2023 NISSAN ARIYA Recalls Canada & USA – Major League Recalls
2023 NISSAN ARIYA Recalls — Canada & USA
Summary
The 2023 Nissan Ariya has 8 recalls, the most serious being a steering wheel that may have a loose or missing mounting bolt and can detach from the steering column entirely, causing a complete loss of steering control.
The remaining recalls all involve unexpected loss of drive power. The electric front traction motor may have damaged internal seals that allow oil to leak inside, triggering a fail-safe mode that cuts power to the wheels without warning. Separately but with the same result, the inverter software can misread electrical conditions and shut down the drive system, and another software issue can activate fail-safe mode on its own. Any of these conditions can cause the vehicle to lose forward drive unexpectedly, raising the risk of a crash, particularly at highway speeds or in traffic.
