4 recalls across 6 model years
The Nissan Rogue Sport has 4 recalls covering 2017 through 2022 model years, with the most serious affecting all 2017-2022 vehicles equipped with a jackknife-style folding ignition key that can collapse while driving, cutting engine power unexpectedly and raising the risk of a crash.
The 2021 model year has two additional recalls. The rear seat belt retractor can deactivate its automatic locking function earlier than intended, which reduces how securely a child seat is held in place during a crash. Separately on 2021 models, the liftgate hinges can pull away from the body in a rear-end collision, removing the structural protection the liftgate is meant to provide to rear occupants. On 2018-2019 models, the backup camera can fail to display an image when reversing, leaving the driver without a view of what is behind the vehicle.
