Two distinct issues can prevent the hood from deploying correctly. On 2023-2024 models, the wiring connectors for the right-side pedestrian detection sensors in the front bumper harness may be reversed, meaning the sensors cannot trigger the pop-up mechanism as intended. Separately, loose or improperly tightened fasteners in the left-side front bumper can also prevent the hood from rising in a frontal pedestrian impact. Both issues affect 2023 and 2024 model years, with the 2023 model year covered by all four filings, reflecting prior repair attempts that did not fully resolve each problem across the production run.
