The Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid has 3 recalls covering 2019 through 2025, with the most serious being a charging system fire risk on 2019-2024 models where using a standard 220V/240V home outlet at the 100% charge setting can overload the outlet or cable, causing either to overheat and potentially ignite.
On certain 2020-2021 models, specifically Coupe, S Coupe, and E-Hybrid Coupe body styles, along with 2021 GTS and GTS Coupe trims, a missing seat back heating element can throw off the passenger seat's occupant classification sensor calibration, causing the front passenger airbag to fail to deploy in a crash. The third recall covers 2019-2025 vehicles and involves the rearview camera failing to show an image when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, reducing the driver's visibility of what is directly behind the vehicle.
