The 2021 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid has 3 recalls, the most serious being a missing seat heating element that can prevent the passenger seat sensor from calibrating correctly, causing the front passenger airbag to fail to deploy in a crash.
The charging system also has a recall: when using a 220V/240V outlet at the 100% charge setting, some home outlets may not handle the current drawn by the compact charging cable, causing the outlet or cable to overheat and raising the risk of a fire. There is also a visibility concern where the rearview camera image may not appear when the vehicle is shifted into reverse, reducing the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle.
