4 recalls across 4 model years
The Saturn Outlook has 4 recalls covering the 2007–2010 model years, with the most serious being airbag control module failures on 2007 models where the front airbags can fail to deploy in a frontal crash, and the warning light may not alert the driver that the system has stopped working.
A separate airbag issue affects 2008 models, where wiring connections to the side airbags and seatbelt pretensioners can develop increasing electrical resistance over time, eventually preventing both from activating in a crash. The liftgate on all 2007–2010 models can lose its ability to stay open and drop unexpectedly, striking anyone standing beneath it. On 2007 models in regions with moderate to heavy snowfall, ice and snow buildup can jam the wiper linkage loose from the motor shaft, leaving the driver with no wipers in conditions where visibility is already reduced.
