The 2007 Saturn Outlook has 3 recalls, the most serious being a faulty airbag control module that can prevent the front airbags from deploying in a frontal crash, with a warning lamp that may also fail to alert the driver that the system is not working.
The liftgate on these vehicles can lose its ability to hold itself open, dropping unexpectedly on anyone standing beneath it and raising the risk of head or upper body injury. On the visibility side, vehicles driven in areas with moderate to heavy snowfall can develop enough ice and snow buildup on the wipers to jam the wiper arms, causing the linkage to detach from the motor and leaving the driver with no windshield clearing in conditions that may already demand full attention.
