Two of the three recalls affect only the RAV4 EV model. The front brake rotors on EV models with steel wheels can develop stress fractures and break at the wheel mounting point, causing a sudden loss of braking on that wheel. The transmission parking lock on those same EV models can also fail if the vehicle is repeatedly parked in the "P" position without using the parking brake, leaving the car without a mechanical means to stay put on a slope.
