5 recalls across 1 model year
The Volvo EX90 has 5 recalls, all affecting 2025 model year vehicles, with the most serious being improperly tightened second-row free-standing seat bolts that can allow the seat to shift in a crash and fail to adequately restrain its occupant.
Two separate recalls cover the power liftgate on 2025 models. In one, a spindle nut can detach from the power tailgate drive unit, causing the liftgate to drop without warning. In the other, the liftgate struts themselves can separate and let the gate fall suddenly. Both present the same hazard: the liftgate dropping onto a person standing behind the vehicle. There is also a headlight issue on 2025 models where a software error causes the headlight shutters to close over both the high and low beams while driving, cutting off all forward illumination and raising the risk of a crash.
