The Volvo V60CC has 2 recalls covering the 2019-2022 model years, the most serious being a steering gear defect on 2019-2022 vehicles where a loose screw inside the gearbox housing can cause the steering wheel to lock up, raising the risk of a crash. The second recall affects 2021-2022 models and involves the rear seat belt automatic locking retractors, which can deactivate too early and prevent a child safety seat from staying properly secured. A child restraint that is not held firmly in place provides less protection in a crash.
