YAMAHA XTZ12 Recalls

The Yamaha XTZ12 has 1 recall covering 2012-2013 model years, where a gap in the protective sealant around wiring connections at the throttle and accelerator position sensors can allow moisture into the ECU, preventing the engine from returning to idle when the throttle is released and raising the risk of a crash. When the sealant deteriorates at those sensor connections, the ECU can receive corrupted signals and hold engine speed up even after the rider lets off the throttle, removing a key element of control at any speed.
