ZERO SR/F Recalls

The Zero SR/F has 4 recalls covering 2020 and 2022 model years, with the most serious being incorrectly installed rear brake pads on 2022 models that can reduce stopping performance and raise the risk of a crash. The 2022 model year also affects the SR and SR/S alongside the SR/F for that brake pad issue. On 2020 models, there are two related brake concerns: rear rotor bolts that were not tightened sufficiently at the factory can work loose over time, contact the swingarm or caliper bracket, and reduce rear braking force, sometimes announcing themselves with an abnormal noise. Separately on 2020 models, the front brake light switch can allow water intrusion and fail, meaning the brake light will not illuminate when the rider squeezes the front brake lever, leaving following traffic unaware that the motorcycle is slowing.
