Defect

On certain vehicles, the front seat position adjustment mechanism springs could break, which could cause the seat to appear to be locked into position even though it is not. This could allow the seat to slide forward or rearward in a crash, increasing the risk of injury and/or damage to property.

Remedy

Dealers will inspect seat rails and replace as necessary.
