Summary
The Bentley Continental GT has 11 recalls spanning 2004 through 2026, with the most serious being a fuel pump connection on 2025-2026 models where an improperly tightened high-pressure fuel pump bolt on V8 Evo-equipped vehicles can allow fuel to leak near ignition sources, creating a fire risk. Two separate fire-related recalls also affect 2020 models: the climate control system's external coolant pump can allow water intrusion, causing a short circuit that overheats and melts the pump and surrounding wiring. On 2020 models with a factory sunroof, the panel may not be properly bonded to the body and can detach entirely at speed, becoming a hazard for other traffic. A front seat movement defect on 2020-2021 Continental GT and GT Convertible models means the front seat can continue sliding rearward and downward after a rear passenger has entered, trapping their legs. On 2020-2022 Continental GT, GT Convertible, and 2021-2022 Flying Spur vehicles, the front passenger seat belt may be missing its automatic locking retractor, which means a child restraint installed in that position may not be properly secured in a crash. The 2021-2022 owner's manual incorrectly describes airbag behavior when the passenger airbag indicator is illuminated, which can lead occupants to position themselves incorrectly relative to the airbag. Going back to the 2012-2015 model years, a loose battery cable can overheat and start a fire. The 2004 model year has two compliance-related issues: the steering wheel does not lock when the ignition key is removed using an optional override device, and the daytime running lights do not meet Canadian lighting standards when sidelights are manually selected on the headlamp switch.
