13 recalls across 10 model years
The Bentley Continental GT has 12 recalls spanning 2004 through 2026, with the most serious recent issue affecting 2025-2026 models where an improperly tightened high-pressure fuel pump connection on V8 Evo engines can leak fuel near ignition sources and cause a fire.
The 2026 model year has a separate concern: front axles may have been assembled with an incorrect shorter driveshaft, causing the hub securing nut to loosen over time, which produces vibration and can result in loss of steering control. On 2020-2022 models, the front passenger seat belt may be missing the automatic locking retractor, meaning a child restraint installed in that position may not be properly secured in a crash. The 2020 model year carries several issues of its own: the climate control system's external coolant pump can allow water intrusion, causing a short circuit that overheats the pump and wiring and can start a fire. Also on 2020 vehicles, the sunroof may not be properly bonded to the body, and in the worst cases can separate from the vehicle entirely while driving. Power front seats on 2020-2021 models can continue moving rearward and downward during automated adjustments, trapping a rear passenger's legs.
Going back to 2021-2022 production, the owner's manual incorrectly describes airbag deployment behavior when the passenger airbag indicator is lit, which could lead occupants to position themselves unsafely relative to the airbags. On 2012-2014 models, a loose battery cable can overheat and raise the risk of a fire.
The 2004 model year has two compliance-related recalls: the steering wheel does not lock when the key is removed using an override device outside of normal conditions, and the daytime running lights do not meet lighting standards when the sidelights are manually selected.
