The Bugatti Veyron has 3 recalls covering the 2006-2013 model years, with the most serious being a battery cable and alternator connection that can corrode on 2006-2008 models, causing the positive cable to overheat and start a fire. The broadest recall covers all Veyron variants across 2006-2013 production, including Grand Sport and Super Sport trims: underside jacking plates can separate from the body while driving and become a road hazard capable of striking other vehicles. There is also a fuel gauge issue on 2006-2010 standard Veyron models and 2010-2011 Grand Sport models where the gauge can read higher than the actual fuel level, causing the engine to stall unexpectedly when the tank runs dry.
