The 2018 Buick Regal has 6 recalls, the most serious being rear outboard seatbelts that were routed incorrectly during manufacturing and may not properly restrain passengers in a crash.
Two separate brake recalls affect this vehicle. A software error in the electronic brake control module can cause a complete loss of power brake assist if the vacuum brake system fails, extending stopping distances. Separately, rear brake caliper pistons may have insufficient coating that allows gas pockets to form inside, reducing rear braking performance. Both issues raise the risk of a crash. There is also a compliance-only label recall: the tire and loading information sticker omits the French translation for "no spare tire," which the manufacturer notes has no effect on vehicle safety.
