A separate fire risk exists: the coil antenna module that powers the rear defogger can overheat from excessive cycling, raising the risk of a fire. On the occupant safety side, an incomplete weld on the front seat hook bracket can allow the seat to break free in a crash, increasing the chance of injury. There is also a sunroof concern: the roof panel can close on its own when the non-recessed switch is accidentally pressed while the panel is open, which can catch hands or other objects in the closing gap.
