The 2021 Cadillac CT4 has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the 10-speed automatic transmission, which can suffer internal damage and cause the wheels to lock up while driving.
Two recalls involve the airbag system. The roof rail side-curtain airbags may have been installed incorrectly and can fail to deploy properly in a crash, reducing protection for occupants. A separate issue with the communications gateway module causes the airbag warning light to behave inconsistently, meaning it may not alert the driver when something is actually wrong with the airbag system. There is also a lighting issue where the daytime running lights may stay on when the headlights are activated, creating glare for oncoming drivers.
