The 2020 Cadillac CT4 has 7 recalls, the most serious involving the 10-speed automatic transmission, which can suffer internal damage and cause the wheels to lock up while driving.
Two recalls address the roof-rail side-curtain airbags, which may not have been installed correctly and can fail to inflate properly in a crash, reducing protection for occupants. On the brake side, contamination in a sensor connection within the electronic brake boost system can cut communication between the sensor and the booster, causing the brake pedal to require significantly more force than normal to slow or stop the vehicle. Three recalls cover lighting behavior: a software issue can prevent low-beam headlights from turning on automatically at dusk when the switch is in the off or parking lamp position, and the daytime running lights can either fail to turn off when the headlights are on or shut off unexpectedly while the vehicle is moving, reducing how visible the car is to other drivers in both cases.
