2021 Cadillac CT5 Recalls & Complaints

The 2021 Cadillac CT5 has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the 10-speed automatic transmission, which can suffer internal damage and cause the wheels to lock up while driving.

Two recalls involve the airbag system. The roof rail side-curtain airbags may have been installed incorrectly and can fail to deploy properly in a crash, reducing protection for occupants. A separate issue involves the module that processes airbag system communications: it can misread a sensor signal and cause the airbag warning light to behave inconsistently, meaning the light may not reliably alert the driver when something is actually wrong with the airbag system. On the lighting side, the daytime running lights can stay on when the headlights are switched on, creating glare for oncoming drivers and reducing visibility.
