The 2007 Cadillac CTS has 6 recalls, the most serious being a fuel pump flange that can melt and leak fuel, risking a stall or fire, and a brake line that can rupture without warning and significantly extend stopping distance.
The fuel pump issue affects CTS-V trim only. The brake line failure applies to vehicles registered or originally sold in certain northern and mid-Atlantic states where road salt corrosion is common. Two separate recalls address airbag reliability: a heavy key ring can pull the ignition slightly out of the run position, preventing front airbags from deploying in a crash, and the passenger seat sensor mat can kink or crack over time, causing the front passenger airbag to fail to deploy when needed. Both issues raise the risk of injury in a collision. There is also a sunroof concern: on vehicles with a power sunroof, the panel can continue to close after the ignition is off and a door is opened, which raises the risk of trapping a hand or arm.
