1998 CADILLAC DEVILLE Recalls — Canada & USA

The 1998 Cadillac DeVille has 3 recalls, the most serious being a misrouted emissions harness that can interfere with the cruise control and throttle linkage, preventing the throttle from closing and leaving the driver unable to reduce engine power. The hood hinge pivot bolts can break, causing a corner of the hood near the windshield to lift or one side of the hood to become unstable when opened. In a crash, this condition means the hood can be pushed rearward through the windshield, raising the risk of injury to occupants. This recall applies to passenger vehicles, hearses, and limousines.
