The 2020 Cadillac Escalade has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the transfer case, where a fault can lock up the front or rear wheels without warning and cause a crash.
A separate fuel system recall covers vehicles where the fuel pump may be missing a pressure regulator. Without that component controlling pressure, the pump can crack and allow fuel to leak, raising the risk of a fire if the fuel reaches a heat or ignition source. On the tire side, certain factory-fitted tires were over-cured during manufacturing, which can cause the sidewall to develop a break or the tread belt to separate from the tire. Either failure can produce a sudden blowout at speed, leaving the driver with reduced control and potential debris on the road.
