The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq has 7 recalls, the most serious being a braking issue on all-wheel drive models where the anti-lock brake system can activate without warning and drop brake pressure, reducing the vehicle's ability to stop.
Two other recalls affect drive power. Wiring inside the rear electric motors can contact each other and cut power to the wheels, and front stabilizer bar bracket bolts that work loose can damage high-voltage cables or battery coolant lines, also causing a sudden loss of drive. On the occupant safety side, the brackets anchoring the left-rear and center-rear seatbelts may not be properly welded to the seat frame, which can prevent those belts from holding an occupant in a crash. Three recalls involve visibility: the driver display screen can go blank while moving, wiping out the speedometer and warning indicators, and the rearview camera can fail to show an image when reversing, either displaying nothing or turning gray.
