The 2010 Chevrolet Impala has 3 recalls, the most serious affecting police-package vehicles only, where a front lower control arm can fracture and cause the driver to lose steering control.
The remaining two recalls involve occupant safety systems. The front seatbelt on the driver's side door may not be properly secured to its anchor pretensioner, meaning the belt can fail to hold the occupant in a crash. There is also a concern with the front passenger seat's occupant presence sensor, where the seat frame can rub against and damage the sensor's wiring, causing the system to miss that a passenger is seated and leaving the front passenger airbag disabled.
